Rosy Smile Again

Dentures are a set of removable false teeth, given to people who are missing all or some of their teeth. If you need dentures, your dentist will take an impression of your mouth and send it to a lab, where they will make a custom set of dentures just for you.

Rosy Dental Offers
3 Types of Dentures

CONVENTIONAL FULL DENTURES
These dentures are placed in your mouth after all of your teeth have been removed and your gums have fully healed.

IMMEDIATE FULL DENTURES
After taking measurements and models of your mouth and jaw in a previous appointment, your dentist will place these dentures immediately after your remaining teeth are removed.

PARTIAL DENTURES
These work a bit like dental bridges; they rest on a metal frame that is anchored to your natural teeth, either with wings or crowns.

Caring for Your Dentures

See our professional tips below on how you can take care of your dentures:

ADJUSTMENTS
Due to normal wear and tear, your dentures will need to be relined, remade, or rebased. Adjustments will also need to be made to accommodate the natural changes to your mouth as you age.

KEEP THEM MOIST
Don’t let your dentures dry out! You’ll want to keep them in a special denture cleaning solution when you are not wearing them.

AVOID HOT WATER
Avoid placing your dentures in hot water, as it will warp the material.

LEAVE FIXING TO THE PROS
Do not try to fix your dentures on your own, as it could result in irreversible damage.

TREAT THEM LIKE REAL TEETH

Brush your dentures with a toothbrush and with soap and water.  Don't use toothpaste, as it will dull your dentures—You want to keep them shiny and glossy. Additionally, you should brush your gums, tongue, and roof of mouth each morning before inserting your dentures and every night when taking the dentures out.  You never want to sleep with dentures in, as they can cause bacterial and fungal infections.

BRUSHING
Using a soft bristled toothbrush to brush your dentures will stimulate tissue circulation and remove plaque, without causing irritation.

CONTACT ROSY DENTAL
As always, if you notice any cracks, chips, or looseness in your dentures, you should consult with Rosy Dental as soon as possible.
